Request for senior doctors working in or with an interest in paediatric palliative medicine
The CSAC and APPM are very aware that there are paediatric palliative medicine workforce issues in various parts of the UK and Ireland.

We want to be able to advocate for funding and development of the specialty and we are keen to support expansion of training posts and innovative ways of helping people without traditional training be recognised. In order to do this effectively we need to understand the situation currently across the nations so that we can be informed when discussing with NHSE, deaneries, Together for Short Lives, All Party Parliamentary Group etc. We can look at population data and geography, but we also need to know who we have working in all areas.

We have sent surveys to the APPM senior doctor membership and asked that they give us more contacts who also specialise in or have an interest in PPM but are not APPM members in order to obtain their views. We would be grateful if you would take a moment to answer a few questions. Click here for a copy of the survey. Please put names in so we can make sure we are not double counting doctors. The specific names of doctors will absolutely not be shared.

Please return to admin@appm.org.uk by September 2023
