WE ARE AWARE OF THE TRAIN DISRUPTION BUT ARE GOING AHEAD WITH THIS EVENT
The APPM are delighted to be able to invite nurses to join them at a Networking & Education Day at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Birmingham on Thursday 9 May 2024.
The topics to be covered include:
• A discussion around “How do we as nurses change the narrative of paediatric palliative medicine for the
future?”. This will be led by members of the HEARD organisation.
• An update from Together for Short Lives on their work around definitions of paediatric palliative care
and a look at the wider picture nationally.
• A reflection on ethics in paediatric palliative care led by a Consultant in Paediatric Palliative Medicine and
Chair of a Clinical Advisory Group
• Two workshops to choose out of three on workforce challenges and innovations, a clinical topic and
nurse verification of death and the role of the Medical Examiner.
There will be plenty of time to network with your peers. The day is open to both APPM and non-APPM members.
